Depositional

Privacy policy

The short version: the game collects nothing about you, and it sends nothing anywhere.

What the game collects

Nothing. Depositional has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. It doesn't ask for your name, your email, your location, your contacts or your photos, and it never connects to the internet on its own.

Your saves

Your progress, your journal, your cabinet and your postcards are stored as files on your own device, in the game's folder. They stay there. If your device backs up its app data (iCloud, Google's backup, Steam Cloud on desktop), the store's backup service handles that under its own terms, and we never see the contents.

Purchases

The full game is sold through the store you got Depositional from: the App Store, Google Play or Steam. The purchase is made with your account on that store, and that store handles the payment, the receipt and any refund. The game only asks the store whether the full game is owned, and remembers the answer on your device so the places you bought work offline. We don't receive your payment details or your identity from the store.

Children

Depositional is suitable for everyone and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Permissions

The game asks for no permissions. On a phone it uses the screen, the speaker and touch, and nothing else.

Changes

If any of this ever changes, this page will say so, with the date, before a version of the game that does things differently is released.
